Ramadan 2027 Countdown for a Telegram Group

Ramadan is the kind of date a group likes to count toward together, whether it is a family chat planning meals or a community organising evening gatherings. CountdownDaysBot posts one card in the group and edits that same message as the number of days changes, so the chat sees a single current number instead of a daily stream of posts.

One thing needs saying plainly. The first day of Ramadan 2027 is not fixed in advance. Astronomical calendars point to about Monday 8 February 2027, but the real first day depends on the moon sighting in each country, and it can differ by a day from place to place. The bot counts to 2027-02-08 as a planning date, and the Arabic button label marks it as approximate. If your community announces a different day, you can create the countdown with that date instead.

Free chats can keep two active countdowns. Pro is a one-time 150 Stars payment per chat and removes that limit, adds a custom emoji and switches to hourly updates in the final two days.

Steps

  1. Open the group where the countdown should live. Run the command in the group itself so the card is posted where everyone can see it. A countdown created in a private chat with the bot stays in that private chat.
  2. Use the one-tap button or type the command. Users whose Telegram language is Arabic see a one-tap button, "Ramadan 2027", on /start, on /help and in the bot's greeting after it is added to a group. Anyone can also type /countdown 2027-02-08 Ramadan. The first part is the date as YYYY-MM-DD and the rest is the text on the card.
  3. Change the date if your community announces another day. If the moon sighting in your country is announced for a different day, send /countdown with that date, for example /countdown 2027-02-09 Ramadan. The date must be in the future, and the bot counts to whatever calendar day you give it.
  4. Let the bot maintain the card. The bot posts one message and checks every hour whether the number of days has changed. When it has, it edits that same message. You do not need to repeat the command, and the group does not get a notification for every update.
  5. Set the group timezone and manage the list. If the day count changes at the wrong hour, a group admin can set the offset with /ctz, for example /ctz +3. Use /countdowns to see what is running and /next for the nearest one with a finer breakdown. /stop with the countdown number ends one; the creator or a group admin can do it.
  6. Post a quick card with inline mode. In any chat, type @CountdownDaysBot ramadan to get a one-off card with the days remaining until 2027-02-08. An inline card is posted once and does not update itself. For a live countdown, create it in the group.

FAQ

Is the Ramadan 2027 date exact?
No. It is approximate. Calendars give about 8 February 2027, but the first day depends on the moon sighting in each country, so your community may start a day earlier or later.
Where is the Ramadan 2027 button?
Users whose Telegram language is Arabic see it on /start, on /help and in the bot's greeting in a group. Everyone else can type /countdown 2027-02-08 Ramadan or use the inline query @CountdownDaysBot ramadan.
Does the bot send a new message every day?
No. It posts one card and edits that message when the number of remaining days changes. The check runs hourly, so the group keeps a single countdown instead of a stream of posts.
How many countdowns are free and what does Pro add?
Two active countdowns per chat are free. Pro is a one-time 150 Stars payment per chat, removes the limit, adds a custom emoji and hourly updates in the final two days.
