Countdown bot for Telegram groups

A countdown message that updates itself daily, right inside the group.

CountdownBot posts a single message in a Telegram group counting down to a date you set — for example "22 days to Christmas" — and edits that same message in place once a day at 09:00, so the group always sees a current number without new messages piling up.

/countdowns lists every countdown running in the group. Free groups can run one at a time; Pro removes that cap and adds custom emoji and hourly-precision updates for the final day.

Privacy

• Each group's countdowns are stored per chat: target date, label, creator id, and the message id being edited daily — no personal data beyond who created it.
• Ending a countdown marks it stopped rather than deleting the row, so the group's countdown id numbering stays consistent.
• The bot only edits the one message it posted for each countdown; it doesn't read or store any other group messages.

How often does the countdown message update?

Once a day at 09:00 in the group's timezone. Pro countdowns switch to hourly updates automatically on the final day.

Can I run more than one countdown in a group?

Free groups get 2 active countdowns at a time; Pro removes that cap for a one-time 150 Stars payment per group.

Who can stop a countdown?

The member who created it with /countdown, or any group admin, using /endcountdown with the countdown's id.

What does Pro add?

Unlimited active countdowns per group, a custom emoji on the countdown message, and hourly-precision updates on the countdown's final day.
