Group activity stats bot for Telegram
Activity stats for Telegram groups — counts messages, never content.

GroupPulseBot tracks how active a Telegram group is without reading what anyone says. It counts messages per member per day, split into text/media/other, and surfaces that as a leaderboard, a busiest-hour stat, and a list of members who've gone quiet.
Because it runs with Telegram's privacy mode off, it sees every group message — but the bot only ever stores counters and timestamps, never the message text itself.
Commands
| Command | Example | Does |
|---|---|---|
/pulse | /pulse week | Leaderboard (top 10, message share), total messages, active members, busiest hour. today/week free, month is Pro. |
/quiet | /quiet | Members who posted before but haven't in the last 7 days, ranked by past activity. |
/me | /me | Your own message counts today and this week, and your rank. |
/reset | /reset | Admins only: wipes the group's tracked data. |
/pro | /pro | Shows the group's Pro status and an unlock button. |
Free vs Pro
Free
- today/week views
- 14-day retention
Pro — 150 Stars (≈ $3), one-time, per group
- + month view
- 90-day retention
- weekly report posted every Monday 09:00 UTC
Privacy
- Only counters are stored: `counts` (per chat, user, day: text/media/other counts) and `hours` (per chat, day, hour) for the busiest-hour stat — never message text.
- `members` stores a display name and last-seen timestamp per chat so leaderboards and /quiet can show who's who.
- Data is retained 14 days on the free tier and 90 days on Pro, then cleaned up automatically; /reset (admins only) wipes a group's data immediately.

FAQ
- Does GroupPulseBot store what people actually say?
- No — it only ever stores message counts (text/media/other) per user per day and an hour-of-day histogram. Message content is never saved.
- Why does the bot need privacy mode off?
- Privacy mode off lets it see every group message so it can count activity; without it, bots normally only see commands and replies to them.
- Who can run /reset?
- Only group admins — checked live against Telegram and cached for 5 minutes.
- What does Pro add?
- A month view alongside today/week, 90-day retention instead of 14, and an automatic weekly report posted to the group every Monday, for a one-time 150 Stars payment per group.
