How to Send an Anonymous Message on Telegram

Telegram itself has no "send anonymously" button — every DM and every group post carries your name. AnonInboxProBot works around that by giving people a personal link: anyone who opens it can write a message that reaches that person's inbox without either side seeing the other's identity.

You don't message the bot to be anonymous to a specific person you already know their username for — you use their AnonInboxProBot link. If they haven't shared one yet, you can ask them for it, or set up your own so the next message you get is anonymous.

This is different from most Telegram "anonymous chat" bots that pair you with a random stranger. AnonInboxProBot doesn't match you with anyone new — it's a one-way anonymous channel to a specific person you already want to reach, built around a link they control.

Steps

  1. Get the person's anonymous-message link. It looks like a t.me link tied to AnonInboxProBot and their account — ask them for it, or find it wherever they've shared it (a bio, a group pin, etc.).
  2. Open the link and start typing. Opening it starts an anonymous message to that person through the bot — your Telegram identity isn't shown to them.
  3. Send your message. It lands in their inbox as an anonymous entry. They can reply through the bot's Reply button, and their reply reaches you the same anonymous way.
  4. Set up your own link if you want to receive anonymous messages too. Message @AnonInboxProBot and run /link (or /start if it's your first time) to get your own personal link to share.

FAQ

Can the person I message find out who I am?
On the free tier, no — your identity isn't shown to them. If they've upgraded to Pro, they get limited sender hints on incoming messages, which give context without exposing your full identity.
How do I get my own anonymous-message link?
Open a DM with AnonInboxProBot and run /link (or /start the first time). It gives you a personal t.me link you can share anywhere — a bio, a group, a story.
Is there a limit to how many anonymous messages I can send?
Sending is capped at 1,000 characters and 20 messages per hour to limit abuse. The recipient's reply limit is separate: 3 replies a day free, unlimited on Pro.
Can someone block me from sending them anonymous messages?
Yes — the recipient can tap Block on any message, which silently stops all further messages from you with no notice sent to you.
