How to Send a Secret Message on Telegram That Only One Person Can Open
Telegram doesn't have a built-in way to post a message in a normal chat that only one specific person can read — everyone in the chat sees everything. WhisperLockBot fills that gap with an inline bot: it posts a locked message card into whatever chat you're already in, and only the person you tag can tap it open.

Steps
- Open the chat where your recipient is. This can be a DM with them, or a group you're both in — WhisperLockBot works as an inline bot, so it doesn't need to be a member of the chat.
- Type the bot's username, then who it's for, then your text. In the message box, type @WhisperLockBot @friend meet me at 8, don't tell anyone — replace @friend with the recipient's Telegram @username and write your message after it.
- Tap the inline result Telegram shows above the keyboard. Telegram will show a preview card. Tap it, and it sends as a locked message card in the chat — nobody has seen the text yet at this point.
- Only the tagged person (and you) can open it. The recipient taps the card and a popup only they can see reveals the text. Everyone else in the chat, including group members, only ever sees the sealed card, never the words inside it.

- The recipient needs a public Telegram @username for the tag to match — if they haven't set one, they can do it in Telegram Settings → Username.
- As the sender, you can also open your own locked message — it's not one-way-blind to you.

- No. WhisperLockBot works as an inline bot triggered by typing its @username in any chat — nobody needs to add it, install anything, or grant it admin rights.
