Telegram secret message bot for any chat
A locked message only one person can open, posted inline into any chat.
WhisperLockBot lets you drop a locked message into any Telegram chat without leaving it. Type the bot's username, tag who should read it, and write your text — the message posts as a button that only the named recipient can open.
Anyone else in the chat sees a sealed message card. When the recipient (or you, the sender) taps it, the text appears in a popup only they can see; everyone else still just sees the locked card.

How it works, step by step
- Open any chat — a group or a private chat — and type @WhisperLockBot followed by the recipient's @username and your text, e.g. "@WhisperLockBot @sam sorry I missed you, I'll explain later". Free messages are capped at 200 characters (1,000 on Pro) and you get 3 per day for free.
- Send the message. The bot posts a locked card into the chat addressed to @sam, so the whisper must be aimed at someone with a public @username.
- The recipient taps the card and the text opens in a popup that only they (and you, as the sender) can see. Everyone else in the chat still sees the sealed card.
- Optional: prefix the text with 1h, 24h, or 7d to give the whisper an expiry — after that time the card stops opening, even for the recipient.
- Run /peek in a DM with the bot to see your three most recent whispers with age and reveal counts, so you know who hasn't opened what yet.
Whisper vs. Telegram's built-in privacy features
Telegram's Secret Chats are end-to-end encrypted, device-bound conversations you have to start separately — both of you leave your normal chat, and the history lives only on that device pair. WhisperLockBot is a different shape: a single locked message delivered inside the chat you're already talking in, with no new thread and nothing for the recipient to enable.
A secret chat protects an ongoing two-way conversation; a whisper protects one text against everyone except its addressee — including other members of a group who can see the sealed card but never the content. Stock Telegram has no "send one message into a group that only one person can open".
Be honest about the limits: screenshots aren't blocked (anyone who can open a whisper can screenshot its popup), and whispers aren't end-to-end encrypted — the text is stored server-side so the card can be re-opened before it expires. Treat the 1h/24h/7d expiry and the small audience as your real controls, and don't send anything whose exposure would actually hurt you.
Privacy
- Message text you write is stored in a `whispers` row (sender id, sender name, target, body, reveal count) so it can be shown again when the recipient taps it.
- Your Telegram user id, username, and Pro status are stored in a `users` row.
- No message content is shown to anyone except the addressed recipient and you, the sender; other chat members only ever see the locked card.

FAQ
- Can other people in the group read a whisper meant for someone else?
- No. Only the recipient (and you, the sender) can open the popup with the message text; everyone else sees a locked card.
- Does WhisperLockBot need to be an admin in my group?
- No admin rights are required — it works as a normal inline bot triggered by typing its @username.
- What happens after I hit the free 3-messages-a-day limit?
- The bot tells you the limit is reached and offers the one-time 150 Stars Pro upgrade for unlimited messages and a longer character limit.
- Is the message deleted after it's read?
- No — the locked card stays in the chat and can be reopened by the recipient (unless you set an expiry); the reveal count in your Mini App board goes up each time it's opened.
- Can a whisper expire?
- Yes — add a 1h, 24h, or 7d prefix before your message (e.g. "@WhisperLockBot @friend 24h meet me at 8") and the card stops opening after that time.
