Auto-approve join requests in a Telegram channel or group

Approves every join request at once and sends each new member one welcome message.

Join Request Approver in short

Join Request Approver (@JoinApproveProBot) approves the join requests of a Telegram channel or group at once and sends each new member one welcome message in a private chat.

  • Handle: @JoinApproveProBot (https://t.me/JoinApproveProBot)
  • Add to a group: Add the bot to the channel or group as an admin with the right to add members, then turn on Request admin approval for the invite link. The bot approves each request on its own. Link: https://t.me/JoinApproveProBot?startgroup=site&admin=invite_users
  • Start in private: Open the bot in a private chat and press Start. The bot shows the setup steps and buttons to add it to a channel or a group. The command /setup opens the settings of your chats.
  • Price: Free to use. Pro is optional and is paid with Telegram Stars for one chat: 150 Stars, one time. Chats with 500 or more members are offered 300 Stars per 30 days instead.

Limits

  • The bot must be an admin with the right to add members. Join requests exist only for invite links with Request admin approval turned on.
  • The welcome message goes only to the person who sent the request, within 5 minutes of the request, and at most 20 messages a minute for one chat. A request that misses these limits is still approved.
  • Free: the default welcome text with a short line and one button of the bot. An admin can switch the welcome message off for a chat, or pause approval.
  • Pro for one chat: your own welcome text, 500 characters at most, and a button of your own, no line of the bot, an approval delay of 1 to 60 minutes and stats for 7 days.
  • The command /setup lists up to 10 chats that you added the bot to. The bot takes payments only in a private chat.

Facts checked against the bot on .

JoinApproveProBot approves the join requests of your Telegram channel or group the moment they arrive, so no admin has to tap Approve. The person who asked to join then gets one welcome message from the bot in a private chat.

To set it up, add the bot to the channel or group as an admin with the right to add members, and turn on "Request admin approval" for your invite link. The welcome message goes only to the person who sent the request, within 5 minutes of the request.

On the free plan the welcome message is the bot's default text, followed by a short line and one button that point to this bot. With Pro for the chat you write the text and the button yourself, and the line and the button of the bot are gone.

FAQ

Does it work for channels as well as groups?
Yes. It approves join requests for both. Make the bot an admin with the right to add members and turn on "Request admin approval" for the invite link. Telegram sends join requests only for links with that option on.
Why did a new member get no welcome message?
The bot can write to a person only within 5 minutes of the request, it sends at most 20 welcome messages a minute for one chat, and an admin can switch the message off in /setup. In all three cases the request is still approved.
What does Pro cost?
Pro is per chat: 150 Stars once, with no subscription. Chats with 500 or more members are offered 300 Stars per 30 days instead. You pay in a private chat with the bot, never in the group.
Can I try Pro first?
Yes. Once the bot has been in a chat for 24 hours, /setup offers one free 24-hour Pro trial for that chat. It ends by itself and nothing is charged.
